How to create a custom homepage for your blog

Many of our WordPress themes come with a custom homepage design. You can find whether or not your downloaded theme includes this by looking at the PSD files. If there are two PSD files (homepage design) + (blog page design) in the package, then it would most likely indicate a theme with custom homepage support.

After you have finished installing the theme, we shall now setup a custom homepage for it!
1) In the Admin/dashboard area click Pages ? Add New Page, create two pages:

2) Create a new page and name it: “Home”

3)  In Attributes, under the Templates field choose MyHome

4) Create another new page and name it: “Blog”

5) In the Admin/dashboard area go to Settings ? Reading

6)  Under “Front page displays” choose “A static page“.

7)  Choose Front page “Home”

8)  Choose Posts page “Blog”

Congratulations! You now have a blog with a custom homepage!
